Leipzig Ballet – Mario Schröder: International Dance Day
For the 6th time Leipzig Ballet celebrates the International Dance Day on April 29th. The whole day we honor dance in its own unique variety, starting at 11:00 a.m. with a stunning ballet matinée by Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin. At 01:00 p.m. Saxony's biggest dance event begins: With "Leipzig dances" (Leipzig tanzt!) we invite everyone to explore and try all kind of dance styles from belly dance to hip hop at out open air sage at Augustusplatz. Highlight is our evening performance of Leipzig Ballet with ballet director and chief choreographer Mario Schröder's choreography of "CARMINA BURANA / A DHARMA AT BIG SUR".
